Last week was Wellbeing Week at St. Fintan’s High School! We had a range of activities during the week to celebrate our theme this year of ‘Connected’. All classes were asked to reflect on how they connect with others online during the week with classes dedicated to Cyber-Bullying and it’s effects. We had an interactive canteen all week with team games set up for use before school and during lunchtimes.
We ran our annual SVP Food collection during the week in the canteen.
Sadly, our Darkness Into Light Walk had to be cancelled due to bad weather but we managed to keep spirits up with a hot chocolate and mince pie breakfast for all last Wednesday morning.
3rd and 6th Year classes all took part in a craft workshop, ‘The Giant Snowflake Make’. Their work will be displayed in an art installation in January.
During lunchtime on Friday, Ms. Ni Laoire and the school choir put on a great carol service for all on the school yard.
It’s a perfect time of year to focus on the theme of being connected and we hope all of our students, teachers and their families will have lots of opportunities to connect with relatives and friends over the coming Christmas break!
