Students across the school participated in a variety of events for our recent Stand Up & Be You Week!
Events across the week included a musical piece highlighting individuality, inclusion and expression played to all classes each morning and a musical performance which took place during lunchtime on Friday.
Film Screenings for 5th and 6th Year students who were shown ‘Dating Amber’ and ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ respectively.
Transition Years participated in an ‘I Am’ poetry workshop whilst the Science department held a workshop led by Ms. Gallagher demonstrating how rainbows occur in nature and how refractive light works!
All school members were asked to show their support for the week by wearing colourful pins and badges and to end the week on a celebratory note, colourful lollipops were distributed to students as they left the school on Friday.
At lunchtimes during the week, workshops were held in Colour Guided Yoga and True Colours Pop Art which was exhibited along the junior corridor at the end of the week.
Our ‘It’s in Our DNA’ art installation which was created during the week from the fingerprints of every student in the school will be installed in the New Year as a permanent reminder of our unique identities as individuals but also our links to each other as members of the school community!
