Focus on Wellbeing/Nature for Wellbeing

In the run up to exams we are focusing on Well-being; specifically ‘Connecting with Nature’ for Wellbeing. We are hoping to encourage students to learn, explore and experience the benefits of connecting with nature for their health and wellbeing. Nature connection has proven benefits for stress reduction, improved focus as well as social connectedness.

Using the Indicators of Wellbeing (Get Active, Take Notice, Connect, Learn), the following activities will take place this week:

Get active:·    

There will be a ‘Wellbeing Run/Walk’ on Wednesday this week along the seafront:

Open to all students & teachers. Meeting at school at 8am.

There will be Yoga for Well-being taking place during the week.

Take notice:

Junior Classes will participate in a ‘’Nature for Wellbeing’ Photography Competition. Students are encouraged to send their favourite picture of nature to [email protected].

Connect:

The cafeteria will be set up with games for students to use during assigned classes during the week

Learn:

Students will be accessing a number of videos, powerpoint presentations and resources during S.P.H.E., Wellbeing,Religion and Tutor Classes!
