An outstanding performance last night from our Transition Years for the opening night of ‘Oliver’. Amazing individual performances and fabulous chorus numbers all round! It was a truly joyful adaptation of this classic. Well done to all cast, crew and their teachers and here’s to two more great shows tonight and tomorrow night! More pics to follow soon….
Excitement is building and last minute rehearsals for our Transition Year musical ‘Oliver’ which will kick off on Thursday through Saturday this week. Tickets are available now but selling out fast. Doors open on Thursday at 7pm. Curtains up at 7:30pm. Wishing all cast, crew and their teachers a fantastic show! Break a Leg All!
This week, we celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge! With lots of events planned over the week (see poster below) and the school awash with green decorations, it promises to be a really enjoyable build up to St. Patrick’s Day and a celebration of Irish culture across the school. Our 6th Year Art class enjoyed a fabulous trip to Paris over mid-term. The highlight was the Museé D’Orsay where our students got to see the paintings from class discussions in real life including the famous Olympia and Dejeuner sur l’Herbe by Manet along with works by Van Gogh, Renoir and Monet. The group enjoyed climbing the Arc de Triomphe, a guided tour of the Museé Picasso, artist’s working in residence at 59 Rivoli, the big climb to Sacre Coeur and a guided tour of the newly renovated Notre Dame not to mention getting in practice for their French orals.
