Happy Chinese New Year of the Horse !

We’re having a fantastic week celebrating Chinese New Year of the Horse! The school is awash with colour and decoration and in a nod to Japan and Cherry Blossom Season, we have installed a Cherry Blossom installation made up of cutout flowers made by 1st Year and TY Religion and SPHE students. Our installation is a clear reminder that Spring is on the way at last. We began the week with handing out Fortune Cookies to students during big break on Monday and announcing the start of our celebrations. On Thursday, we ran Chinese boardgames in the cafeteria at lunchtime where students enjoyed playing chequers, card games, Mah Jong and a special Year of the Horse picture puzzle created by Ms. Gallagher. Today, we will celebrate with games and entertainment, Jianzi, music and fortune telling at lunchtime. Wishing everyone a very Happy Chinese New Year of the Horse!
