Anthropology

Teacher: Shane Gilleran

Anthropology by definition is the study of humanity. It is about understanding how cultures and human societies evolve. Anthropology is all around us, it is what makes us human. In this subject we take a broad approach to understanding the many different aspects of the human experience. The fields of Anthropology include human behaviour, human biology, cultural traits, and cultural societies. By closely observing and analysing different ways of life that exist around the earth.

Many employers value the skills and perspectives that develop from learning to think like an Anthropologist. These include being able to see a problem from multiple perspectives, understanding the local and global impacts of human activity and community with a variety of shareholders.
