Diversity & Inclusion
Here at St Fintan’s High School, we are very proud of our Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Programme which marks a number of special celebrations and events throughout the year under the guidance of the teachers’ Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The programme had its genesis in recognising how well we, as schools, celebrate our achievements collectively in sports teams, musical groups, classes etc. but we wished to recognise the individuality and diversity across our school in a range of areas and to foster a school community of acceptance and inclusion. The aim is to raise awareness of Diversity, Abilities and Culture across the school culminating each term in a day of Celebration and Inclusion.
To that end, a number of very colourful and fun initiatives are run throughout the year:
- Culture Club and C.D.I. Forum run and promoted by our Student Culture Ambassadors, Fionn McGregor and John Dunne.
- Stand Up and Be You Week
- Chinese New Year Celebrations
- Abilities Awareness Campaigns
- Culture Days
