The BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition is much more than a competition, it is an experience that our students can treasure for a lifetime.  The exhibition is the final stage of the competition that is open to all students of St. Fintan’s High School.  Students that take part have the opportunity to demonstrate their ingenuity and creativity in the sciences.  As a school we seek to nurture and cultivate the talent of our future scientists and engineers.

There are many reasons to get involved, including:

Prizes – There are hundreds of prizes and awards besides the BT Young Scientist of the Year

Success Stories – Many previous winners have gone on to amazing careers in the Science and Technology industries.

CV or Application form to Universities – The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is an impressive bit of extra-curricular activity to put on your CV or application form for college / university. It shows a real passion for science and an ability to think for yourself.  It also helps to build confidence in presenting, as students will be required to articulate their ideas to the judges.

School – Teachers see long-term benefits from students that get involved.  It’s a great way for students to get inspired about the vital science subjects and can also inject a bit of fun into science.
